Kettle Falls Community Church Doctrinal Statement

We Believe:

1. That the 66 books of the Bible are the completed revelation of God, inerrant in the originals, and that they are supreme and final in authority.  (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:21; Rev. 22:18-19; Jn. 17:17; Rom. 12:1-2; 2 Tim. 2:15; 1 Pet. 1:23, 25; Heb. 4:12)
2. In one God, eternally existing in three equal and distinct persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (Mk. 12:29; Rom. 1:20, 16:26; Mt. 28:19; Jn. 14:16-17, 26, 15:26, 16:10-16)
3. In the deity of Jesus Christ: His virgin birth, sinless humanity, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension to Heaven and His personal coming again. (Jn. 1:14; Lk. 1:35; Mt. 1:20; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 5:9, 9:14; Jn. 1:29; 1 Jn. 2:2; 1 Cor. 15:1-8; 20-22; Heb. 1:3; Acts 1:10-11; Rev. 19:11-21)
4. In the fallen state of man—unable to please God—and man’s total depravity which makes new birth necessary. (Rom. 3:9-11, 19-20, 23; Eph. 2:1-3; 1 Cor. 6:9-11; Gal. 5:19-21; 1 Cor. 2:14; Jn. 3:18-20; Rom. 8:5-9; Jn. 3:5-7)
5. That man is saved by grace through faith in Christ alone, apart from works, born again by the Holy Spirit as a child of God, and sealed until the day of redemption; that the shed blood of Jesus Christ is sufficient to save and cleanse from sin all that come to God by Christ. In the need to live a holy, Christ-centered life after we are saved, brought about by a total dependence upon the Holy Spirit for daily enablement; a life that will reflect Christ as we grow through fellowship, prayer, Bible study and witnessing. 8. That the Church, the Body or Bride of Christ, consisting solely of believers, distinct from Israel, will be raptured at any moment prior to the outpouring of God’s wrath. (Eph. 1:22-23, 5:23-32; Acts 2:1-21; Rom. 8:9b; 1 Jn. 5:12; Rom. 11:25; Acts 9:15; 1 Cor. 1:22-23, 10:32; 1 Thess. 4:15-17, 1:10; 5:9-10; 2 Thess. 2:3-7; Rom. 5:9)
9. In the personal, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ to establish a 1,000 year Kingdom on the earth. (Acts 1:10-11; Rev. 19:11-21, 20:4-6; Zech. 14:1-11)

Here in Kettle Falls there are a few churches meeting to glorify the one true God.  Our doctrinal emphasis is on Scripture alone as God’s final authority to us.  We believe that correct views of God the Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, humanity and the Church are crucial to a vitally vibrant fellowship of believers.  Please contact us to learn more about what we believe.
